This standard applies to non-removable spiral plate heat exchangers with a nominal pressure greater than 1.6 MPa, a nominal diameter not exceeding 1600 mm, and a nominal heat exchange area not exceeding 120 m2. However, with technological advancements, large non-removable spiral plate heat exchangers have been widely used in the national economy, and removable spiral plate heat exchangers have also seen significant development, thus exposing the standard.

   The national industry standard JB/T4723-92 in China specifies the basic parameters such as the type nominal pressure, nominal diameter, and calculated heat exchange area for non-removable spiral plate heat exchangers made of carbon steel and stainless acid-resistant steel.
This standard applies to non-removable spiral plate heat exchangers with a nominal pressure greater than 1.6 MPa, a nominal diameter not exceeding 1600 mm, and a nominal heat exchange area not exceeding 120 m². However, with technological advancements, large non-removable spiral plate heat exchangers have been widely used in the national economy, and removable spiral plate heat exchangers have also seen significant development, revealing certain limitations of this standard. Therefore, this appendix only provides some useful references.

   The structural type of non-removable spiral plate heat exchangers can be referred to in Chapter 3.1.3.
4. Basic parameters
   4.1 Nominal pressure
   Nominal pressure refers to the maximum working pressure that the channel can withstand.
   PN: 0.6, 1.0, 1.6 MPa
   4.2 Nominal diameter
   For carbon steel: 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600 mm;
   For stainless acid-resistant steel: 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600.
   4.3 Nominal heat exchange area
   For carbon steel: 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 1200 m²;
   For stainless acid-resistant steel: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100 m².
